Global Compassion Ministries is always looking for ways to help support and encourage others to serve in some capacity. Whether it is through our ministry or some other organization, we believe that God calls us all the work together. 1 Thessalonians 5”11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing".” One of our partner ministries that we support regularly was actually inspired by a mission trip we took to Haiti back in 2017. After seeing the depravity of the kids in the Anges Rouge region, founders of Hands of Faith, Deb Leaman and Andrea Lange felt the hand of the Lord lay it on their hearts to do more by providing stability and resources. When asked what was one of the biggest God moments for the organization, they answered, “To start an organization and go into another country where you don’t know the culture, language, and their full needs was a challenge. We saw God provide time and time again through settling up and establishing this organization.” Over the past 8 years, Hands of Faith has served the community and school of Philadelphia in Haiti, donated bibles in Guatemala, provided and distributed back packs in Rockaway Beach, and adopted two new schools in Ludwar, Kenya which they currently are administrators to. The unexpected growth in Africa, along with continued support in Haiti in this season of unrest has been one of their biggest challenges, but God never ceases to provide where his Gospel is at work and moving. It is evident that God has gifted these ladies and equipped them especially for this type of ministry. We can look to their example on how we should use our own gifts to serve as well. When asked what words of encouragement they have for others who might be interested in a similar type of service, they said, “Pray without ceasing, rely fully on the Lord, and step forward with confidence”. Hands of Faith is currently looking for fundraising opportunities to help support all the doors that have been opened, starting with a Spaghetti Dinner this Spring.
